Our Team
At lydendental our patients are at the centre of our work. We welcome everyone; parents wanting the best for their children and themselves; busy professionals keen to maintain a good dental routine; retired people needing some advice or adults looking for a whiter smile. We work on the basis of consultation, sharing our knowledge and expertise while developing the best dental and cosmetic care for our patients’ dental health and smile.

Ronan Lyden
BDS NUI Dentist
Ronan is the son of the G.P, Dr. Brendan Lyden (RIP) who practiced for over 40 years in Carrigaline. He studied dentistry in UCC and worked in a number of dental practices in the UK, before returning to Cork to open and develop a practice in Clonakilty. Together with Nuala Lyden, they established their family dental practice on the Cork Road in Carrigaline. Ronan is married to Nuala and they have four children. He is a keen sailor and golfer and supports Munster Rugby.
Nuala Lyden
BSC (Hons), FDSRCS (Edin) Dentist
Nuala qualified in Dentistry from the London Hospital with a Hons degree after first completing a BSc in Physiology and Medical Laboratory Science where she qualified with 1st Class Hons. Nuala was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989. She divides her clinical time between family dental practice and teaching dental undergraduates at the Cork University Dental Hospital. She is a member of the Irish Dental association and the British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine. She is married to Ronan and has four sons. She is an avid reader and enjoys golf and cooking.
Suzanne Lawler
RDH Dental Hygienist
Suzanne qualified as a dental nurse in 2002 and went on to receive her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2007. She also has a certificate in Special Needs, Health and Safety & Health Promotion. She lives in Kinsale where she can be found walking, cycling & jogging. In between enjoying the many foodie places and cooking. She joined lydendental in 2007 and loves working with the team, learning and updating her dentistry skills. Being part of a team and good team work is very important to Suzanne and at some stage she would like to run the New York marathon , climb Kilmanjaro and go to Chernobyl and work in communities promoting Oral Health Awareness.
Sharon Eaton
DSA Dental Nurse/Receptionist
Sharon joined lydendental over six years ago and is a native of Carrigaline. She qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2008 and loves her work. She played soccer with the local team and is married to Jack. She has two active daughters and claims she comes to ‘work for a rest’. A keen musician, she plays drums and played in a band with her brother for a number of years. When not at work, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, go on nice walks, drink cups of tea and go to the cinema & concerts with her husband Jack.
